Dear Royal Guests:

We continue to monitor the situation concerning COVID-19 and are making regular adjustments to our operational protocols based on the most recent information available. Effective August 24, 2020, the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador is making non-medical masks mandatory in public indoor areas. Please see the below update, including important details for guests regarding use of non-medical masks on the property.

Use of Non-Medical Masks
Unless exempt due to physical or mental health conditions, all guests over the age of 5 are required to wear non-medical masks while visiting indoor public areas of the hotel. This includes: the hotel lobby, guest laundry, hotel shuttle and while traveling up/down stairwells.

Non-medical masks are not a substitute for physical distancing and good hygiene. Guests are encouraged to follow proper physical distancing and hygiene practices at all times.

Increased Sanitization
We have increased the frequency of sanitization in all areas of the hotel, with special attention on high touch points such as door handles, common areas, etc.  We use hospital-grade cleaners, which are approved by Health Canada to kill viruses such as COVID-19. We have removed all paper materials, accent bedding and accent pillows from all rooms to allow for proper sanitization.

Complimentary Breakfast
We have temporarily discontinued our buffet-style complimentary breakfast and have items available on a grab-and-go basis only from 6am to 10am. Guests are not permitted to sit and eat in the breakfast area.

Maintenance & Housekeeping Requests
Please note that only urgent maintenance requests will be addressed while a guest is checked into a room. Guests will be asked to temporarily leave the room before any urgent maintenance work can be completed. Housekeepers will not enter a room while a guest is present.

Fitness Centre
The Fitness Centre is now open. Access is limited to one guest or party (individuals staying in same room) at a time, and the key may be picked up at the Front Desk.

Luggage & Packages
Unfortunately, we are unable to store luggage or hold packages for pick-up for hotel guests at this time.

Hotel Shuttle Service
Our shuttle service is available on demand between 8 am and 5 pm, Monday to Friday. Early mornings, evenings and weekend shuttle service for groups of 3 or more is based on availability. To reserve a pick-up or drop off please contact Guest Services at the Front Desk or request a ride when making your reservation. It is required that all passengers wear non-medical masks while in the shuttle and that they disinfect their hands with hand sanitizer (provided) upon entry.  Only one person/party can be seated per row of seats. The shuttle is cleaned regularly and Guests must load and unload their own luggage.

UPDATED: Travelling from outside of Newfoundland & Labrador
Anyone arriving from outside of Newfoundland and Labrador as of November 25, 2020, regardless of location, must self-isolate for 14 days. Individuals are required to travel directly to their place of self-isolation and not permitted to stop anywhere. Because of these requirements, we are unable to provide accommodations to those needing to isolate for the safety and protection of our guests and staff.

Please be advised that the images used throughout this website and our marketing materials may not reflect the latest guest experience such as physical distancing in public spaces, usage of non-medical masks and changes to hotel amenities to remain compliant with current COVID-19 protocols.

Our room was a king suite and it was incredibly clean and spacious. The shower was amazing – stand up stall with tons of different jets and even a seat! Complimentary breakfast was perfect for our needs – bagels, cereal, coffee, juice, etc.

My father and I stayed here on a drive on the Trans-Labrador Highway in May 2016. we were very pleased with our room: a large executive guest room with two beds and a refrigerator, on the ground floor.

Very modern and clean accommodations in a central location. The suites were lovely, large kitchenettes, multiple bedrooms, sofa beds etc. Staff was super helpful. Managed to squeeze me into a blocked schedule.

I was impressed from the moment I walked into the building. The lobby was bright and welcoming. The breakfast area looked newly renovated with stainless steel appliances.

We toured 5 provinces (8000 km) in 14 days including our main goal of driving around Labrador. Of all the hotels we stayed in this was the best!

The staff are great! The rooms are very comfortable and clean. Conveniently located. Tasty locally baked fresh breads, muffins and the Royal’s very own coffee blend is a great starter to the day. An easy place to stay for business or pleasure!!!!

All the staff are very helpful. I had a standard room. It was clean, warm and comfortable and I was surprised to find some nice little extras such as a coffee machine, a toaster and a table chairs.
